Your record jacket has a two-block commute.

Your record deserves a beautiful jacket. It does not need a world tour before it reaches the turntable.

At Object Permanence, our print-and-packaging partnership with Atomic Disc keeps an important part of the journey wonderfully short: about two blocks, right here in Salem, Oregon.

Big artwork. Small commute.

Printed packaging often passes through several suppliers before it meets the music. Every extra shipment means more distance, handling, and coordination. Our print materials travel from our neighbors to our record factory. Two blocks. We are very into that.

That short local route is one concrete way we reduce the transport involved in making your package. It is not a claim that a vinyl record has no environmental impact. It is a practical choice we can point to, explain, and keep improving.

Print what you need. Keep the good stuff.

Atomic Disc’s digital printing lets us work close to demand and order the quantities a release actually needs. Exact quantities mean fewer extra printed pieces sitting in storage waiting for a hypothetical future. Less over-ordering. Less money tied up in boxes. More room for the next good idea.

A small run can still look like a proper release. Thoughtful paper choices, vivid artwork, and a package that belongs to your music do a lot more than an oversized order ever could.

A few very good things to put your art on

Full-color record jackets. Your cover, large and in charge. Start with a no-spine top-load or side-load jacket, or choose a spined jacket when you want the album title to have a place on the shelf.

11″ and 12″ inserts. Lyrics, liner notes, credits, an illustration that needs its own little stage. Choose a flat 2-panel insert printed on both sides or a folded 4-panel insert, in gloss text or sturdy 16 pt C2S.

Download cards. A small printed bridge between the record and the digital release, with hosting included in our builder.

More print possibilities. Atomic Disc also makes CD wallets, sleeves, and other printed packaging. If your release wants a companion format or something outside the standard builder, ask us to put together the right combination.

Nice package. Sensible numbers.

At 100 copies, our 12″ 2-panel gloss-text inserts are $104 for the run; 4-panel gloss-text inserts are $130. Want heavier stock? A 2-panel 16 pt C2S run is $117. These are insert add-on totals, separate from the vinyl package. Quantities and materials change the price.

The package builder shows the total as you choose your record, jacket, inserts, and services. For a different printed product or a custom combination, we will confirm a quote before you commit.

Good design, made nearby, in quantities that make sense. We think that is a pretty lovely place to start.
