Your next record starts with a little playing around

You know that moment when a record starts feeling real? The songs have a home. The cover has a color. Suddenly you’re picturing it on someone’s shelf.

Let’s get you there.

Our package builder and artwork studio give you room to try things, change your mind, and see your release come together. Start with the record. Dress it up. Give the cover another font. See what happens.

No design degree required. Excellent taste in music encouraged.

First, pick your pressing

Head to Vinyl Packages and choose a starting point. Classic Black keeps things simple. Transparent Color lets a little light in. Solid Color + insert gives your artwork a little more room to roam.

These are starting points, not personality tests. You can adjust the package in the builder.

Choose your quantity and vinyl color, then work through packaging and services. Pick your jacket, inner sleeve, and any inserts or extras you want. The package price updates as you go; selections that need individual pricing are marked for a quote.

A small tip: settle on your quantity and packaging before preparing final artwork. The right production template depends on what you’re making.

Next, give it a face

Click Design your artwork beneath the package preview. Your selections come with you into the artwork studio, so you can keep the creative momentum going.

Choose the piece you want to work on—your jacket front, jacket back, center labels, or another included piece.

Then drop a PNG, JPG, or WebP into the orange-outlined Add artwork box. Your images appear in a temporary image bank, ready to use across your design.

From there, you can:

  • Move and resize your artwork.

  • Add more than one text box. Artist name here, album title there, tiny mysterious message wherever you like.

  • Try different fonts, colors, and alignment.

  • Rearrange, hide, or lock layers while you work.

The live package preview helps you see how the pieces sit together. Front, back, open: give your record a little spin.

A little structure helps the good stuff shine

Use the guide toggle to switch the lines on and off while you design. Full template opens a larger view, and the Templates tab is there when you—or your graphic designer—need the matching files.

One useful distinction: confirmed template guides and layout guides aren’t interchangeable. Layout guides help you compose; the confirmed production template sets the final print requirements. If your production template is still pending, check with us before finishing the print files.

Already working with a designer? Lovely. Download the available matching template and send it their way. They can keep using the tools they love.

Before you close the tab: keep the good stuff

Working images stay in that browser tab. We don’t keep a cloud folder of your unfinished experiments, so save before you leave.

Choose Save editable project, wait for Your file is ready, then click Download file. Keep that HTML project somewhere you’ll find it again. You can reopen it with Open project to keep editing.

You can also download an artwork draft or a branded placement preview to look over or share with your bandmates. Artwork drafts and templates don’t carry a mockup watermark; the package preview includes Object Permanence branding.

The preview is a placement guide, and the artwork download is a draft—not a production-ready print file. Final artwork still needs the matching template and our production review.

Downloading doesn’t submit your files to us. When you’re ready, use the artwork-upload instructions for your order to send the final files through our existing upload process.

Go on. Try the other color.

Your first idea might be the one. Your fourth idea might surprise you. That’s the fun part.

Start with a package. Make a little mess. Save your favorite version.

We can’t wait to see what you make.
