For the record: Press Play Salem meets Object Permanence

From a Brooklyn dance floor to a record factory in Salem. Somehow, that is a real career path.

Press Play Salem visited Object Permanence for For the Record, a feature by Lindy Rybloom in issue 29 (Fall 2026), with photography by Ben Mah.

The story gets into the people behind the press: Carrie, Adam, and Jason; the unexpected move west; and the music, friendship, and hands-on work that brought us here. It also asks a question close to our hearts: what does it mean to make something worth keeping?

For us, a record is an invitation. Put it on. Look at the artwork. Listen with somebody. Have a little dance in your kitchen. Repeat as necessary.

Thank you to Lindy, Ben, and Press Play Salem for spending time with us and telling the story with such care.
